For students with a GCSE Higher grade A or A-star or equivalent language knowledge. This course will enable you to use integrated language skills to meaningfully address authentic texts as well as contemporary issues at advanced subsidiary level. You will be prepared for Unit 1 Spoken expression and Response and Unit 2 Understanding and Written Response for the final exams, held in May and June by EDEXCEL. Communicative methods are used to enhance the skills of Reading, Listening and Writing and Speaking. You are expected to spend about 4 hours on homework per week. Your level of language skill will be assessed by means of a test and an interview prior to enrolment.
