The Intermediate Apprenticeship - Fabrication and Welding Engineering framework covers the NVQ Diploma Level 2 in Engineering, teaching learners how to carry out basic fabrication and welding tasks such as as manual metal arc, metal inert gas, and tungsten inert gas, fabrication on both sheet metal and plate and to gaining higher level support skills. This is also supported through classroom delivery on taught sessions to give learners an understanding of the principles behind fabrication, welding and engineering in an organisation. The 5 units you will achieve are working in engineering, principles of engineering technology, principles of fabrication and welding technology, welding by MMA or MIG process and fabricating sheet metal process .
