This Intermediate Apprenticeship in Engineering will include the NVQ Diploma in PEO Electrical Engineering teaching learners how to carry out basic electrical wiring, testing and diagnostic tasks to gaining higher level support skills. This is also supported through classroom delivery on taught sessions to give learners an understanding of the principles behind electrical and electronic engineering in an organisation. The 5 units you will achieve are working in engineering, principles of electrical and electronics technology, principles of engineering technology, maintaining electrical equipment and systems and wiring and testing electrical circuits. . You will be accessing STA's engineering training centre one day per week over a twelve month duration. Functional Skills at various levels will be provided to enhance each learners Maths and English. Initial entry level assessment will be carried out to determine their knowledge and training requirement.
