If you have a caring and respectful personality, enjoy working with others, and have lots of patience and common sense, a Health and Social Care apprenticeship may be a good choice for you. Typically, you will learn skills such as moving and handling techniques, personal care, communication skills and nutrition. Added to these fundamentals will be others related to your particular job setting and sector. These could include dementia care, infection control, autism awareness or supporting people with physical or multiple disabilities. By undertaking a Health and Social Care apprenticeship with Hoople, you will gain the skills and experience needed for a career in adult social care or health care, opening the door to many opportunities within the NHS, your local authority, the voluntary or private sectors.
