UPDATED 20151126 12:34:34

The PMO Apprenticeship is a blend of classroom-based and workplace competency-based qualifications, which ensure all learners understand and can implement the fundamental principles of modern manufacturing processes. There are a number of pathways through the qualification; our industry experienced and vocationally competent staff will work with you to decide which the best pathway is for you. Our Apprenticeships are flexible to suit shift patterns and can be delivered either on day release at one of our campuses, or at the work place. Nissan are one of many employers to have benefited from our bespoke provision, with apprentices maintaining sustainable, permanent positions in manufacturing and engineering. The Apprenticeship in PMO is typically a 12-month programme, which consists of theory and practical, real working responsibilities. A typical delivery approach may include between 6-12 days theory training, which include the following Apprenticeship components: • Industrial Environment Awareness Technical Certificate – this qualification includes everything a learner needs to carry out a manufacturing/engineering role to certified Health & Safety regulations. Additionally, learners will learn the key areas of communication, effective working and working relationships. • Employment Rights & Responsibilities - this covers 9 key outcomes including, statutory rights and responsibilities to career pathways and gives Apprentices a wider appreciation of their responsibilities and that of the employer. • Functional Skills in maths and English – a key component of the PMO Apprenticeship which is critical to every organisation’s success. Learners are initially assessed to ascertain current levels and an appropriate plan is designed to ensure knowledge gaps and appropriate challenging activities are delivered. • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills (PLTS).
