What is the A2 Health and Social Care (Double Award) course about? This course will introduce you to key concepts and a body of knowledge that will provide you with an invaluable and thoughtful perspective on contemporary issues in Health and Social Care. It complements and combines well with other A Level studies and will equip you with the skills needed for higher education and the world of work. What will I study? You have two options: The Advanced Level Double Award is a two A Level course. Over two years you will study eight units from the list below; a mix of coursework and external exams. Depending on your interests and career aim, you will choose one or more A Levels to make up a complete programme of study. This option is most suited to those students who have some certainty over the route they want to take at university such as: Nursing; Midwifery; Paediatrics; Social Work; Teaching/similar careers; Police Officer; Probation Officer/YOT; Paramedic; Mental Health Counselling.
