Philosophy - The Philosophy of Religion - Term 2

The aim of this course is to introduce learners to the fascinating topic of Philosophy. This second term of Philosophy of Religion will teach learners about the different challenges to the belief in God, such as the problem with 'evil', science, as well as psychological and sociological arguments. In the second half of the course, learners will discuss and evaluate the nature of religious belief. Topics will include life after death, revelation and holy scripture, religions and mystical experiences, miracles, and the nature of God. In addition to this, learners will also learn how to write in a philosophical style.

This book is widely available used for less than 10.00. Information, Technology and Communication skills (ITC) feature prominently in this course. Learners are advised to have access to a computer or become familiar with accessing computers at Surrey Libraries. Access to a computer is not required for this course, but learners who have computer and internet access will be able to access course resources freely online.
