Oil and Acrylic Painting

The course will establish a range of basic methods in Oil and Acrylic Painting through the use of sketchbook, photographs, found images or direct observation. You will learn to distinguish the use of tone, colour, composition and texture. Gain confidence in using painting materials and be encouraged to take part in group discussions Have access to one to one support The overall aim is to help you develop personal expression through a mixture of practice, discussion and demonstration techniques.

Entry requirements

A) Bring whatever Oil or Acrylic painting materials you may already have purchased or a pad of A3 cartridge paper, Soft grade of pencils (4B or 6B), soft rubber and a graphite stick for the first session. B) Materials and resources you will need through the course will be discussed at induction.
