Cookery - Around the World

UPDATED 20150226 15:33:30

The aim of the course is to learn the cooking skills to prepare a variety of authentic dishes, from around the world. For instance, we could be making Thai fishcakes with a chilli tomato jam, Sri Lankan chicken or Prawn Curry using a variety of spices, a Lebanese Lemon Chicken or closer to home, a really homely Irish Stew and a French Apple Tarte with home-made sweet pastry, apples and almond frangipane. All will be made from scratch - you will be surprised how they bear no comparison with ready-made packages from the supermarket. You will be using tried and tested recipes in a friendly, welcoming, fun environment. Not only will you pick up knowledge of other countries' ingredients and tastes, but your taste buds will enjoy going on holiday. You will also learn valuable cooking skills and simple tips such as how to cook rice successfully time and time again.
