The aim of this course is to improve your fluency and conversation skills. You will be able to to practise speaking and listening in a relaxing and sociable setting. It will increase your confidence and broaden your vocabulary in a wide range of contexts. Different topics are covered each term. Topics at Stage 6+ cover a wide range of subjects and may include the following- Discussion of news and current affairs- Films, plays, books, songs, humour (comprehension and discussion of works by popular directors or writers)- Discovering regions of the world in which the language is spoken and their customs and traditions- Learning how to deal with practical aspects of daily life overseas- travelling, working and retiring in the country. Sessions are lively and varied and draw on a range of authentic sources from articles in the press, internet and TV. Vocabulary, grammar and lexical structures will be addressed in context.
