This talk will look at the work of John Piper. Piper was a Surrey born artist who developed a distinctive style. He is best known for his paintings of architecture and landscape. He made many paintings of bomb damaged buildings during the 2nd WW for the War Artists Advisory Committee and later in his career designed stained glass for Coventry Cathedral. Come along and find out more about him, his art work and his writing on art., This talk will encourage visiting museums and art galleries, lectures, art societies or even joining a practical art class to make your own art history
