You will develop your practical and theoretical skills through the following units:- Introduction to the hair and beauty industry, How to present a professional image & Working with others in the salon. You will be able to work on a salon reception, develop your creative skills within the units of:- The art of dressing hair, creating a hair and beauty image and apply temporary colour. You will also cover effective shampooing and conditioning, the creative art of styling women’s hair and skill involved in retail and display. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety while working in the hair industry. You will also study Maths and English as part of your programme at the correct level for you. Work experience, enrichment and employability topics will also form an integral part of your programme of study.
