Hairdressing (European Hair or All Hair Types) NVQ Level 2 Diploma

This is an intermediate vocational qualification which focuses on the underlying principles and practices of hairdressing. The NVQ qualification will continue to develop your skills on paying clients. All students will study core and specialist units in, client consultation, shampooing/conditioning, plaiting and twisting, blow drying and setting hair (including long hair work), cutting techniques, colouring techniques, perming techniques, health and safety, reception, selling and display techniques. On All Hair Types you will study relaxing techniques and styling and dressing Afro Caribbean hair. There will be a chance for you to develop yourself in the role.

Entry requirements

You will be asked to purchase a uniform which must be worn at all times when in the salon. You will also need to have some key pieces of equipment that will be discussed when you come to the transition event.
