This course introduces you to the dynamic area of art and design. You will learn by completing project briefs based on realistic work-based activities. There will be the opportunity to explore materials and experiment with new techniques. To assess your skills and interests, you will sample a range of areas including drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D work, ceramics, fashion and textiles. You will also study the work of other artists and designers. You are expected to work independently on project work away from the college for at least 6 hours a week.
