This course is suitable for all individuals working in Health Care, Residential Care, Supported Living or Day Centres who work under supervision. The course will provide candidates with the opportunity to gain a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and licence to practice within the Health & Social Care setting. This course will enable the student to gain a better understanding of client needs, providing care and support. The Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care focuses on both Health and Care settings, provision of care and support of client needs and maintaining client independence as well as theories and perspectives within Health and Social Care. Nine Mandatory core units are to be completed to achieve 24 credits and an extensive choice of specialist knowledge and competence units to achieve the required 46 credits overall. In order to gain this qualification you will be assessed on a portfolio of evidence and by observation of working in the workplace.
