Access to Higher Education Diploma in Science

UPDATED 20160722 12:46:20

Access to Higher Education Diploma courses are designed to provide the underpinning knowledge and skills needed to progress to a degree or diploma course in higher education. These courses enable adults who do not have the necessary Level 3 qualifications such as A-Levels required to enter higher education to acquire the Access to HE Diploma, which is equivalent in standard to these qualifications. The courses are very intensive, as the whole Level 3 programme is delivered in one year. There is a strong focus on developing your study skills, like notetaking, essay writing and preparing for exams, as well as covering all aspects of Science Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Maths. In Science you will cover key scientific theories and also complete practical work in all areas. A lot of the work is assessed through assignments, so you need to be well-organised and able to meet deadlines.
