GCSE English Language

UPDATED 20160722 12:47:17

On this intensive course, you will complete four pieces of written coursework and three assessed oral assignments in the first term. Coursework includes essays on Shakespeare and on a prose text, a media assignment and a piece of personal writing. You will study a collection of poetry and practice comprehension based on broadsheet articles and other media material. A high standard of accuracy is needed to achieve a grade C or above so students are expected to work hard on their grammar, spelling, punctuation and essay planning.
