Course description This course is designed for those who already have a level 2 qualification or experience of working in a bookkeeping environment and wish to progress to more advanced tasks. It covers the adjustments needed for end of year accounts and the production of the financial statements for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Not for Profit Organisations from complete and incomplete records. A unit for VAT is also included. Course content and outcomes While your personal objectives will be discussed and agreed at the first session, you can expect that during the course you will learn to: • Produce end of year adjustments • Apply VAT • Adjust incomplete records • Prepare financial statements for Sole Traders • Prepare financial statements for Partnerships • Prepare financial statements for Not for Profit Organisations How will I learn? The course will involve classroom learning and exercises guided by the tutor. Home study should be carried out each week to reinforce understanding and to practice the techniques needed to be successful in the final exams.
