The course is suitable for people with an interest in the criminal justice system. Studies include theories of crime, the personnel involved, the legal system and considers issues of justice. This is a brand new course introduced for September 2012. We are, therefore, one of the first colleges in the country to be offering a Criminology qualification. All Subject lecturers are experienced and highly qualified, between them holding qualifications in Education, Law and Psychology. The department runs trips to the Houses of Parliament and Crown Court to allow students the opportunity to see where and how our Laws are made and implemented. Further opportunities to invite guest speakers from the Police Service and CPS are being pursued (pardon the pun!).
