AS Level £ First year of course: £ A collection of coursework that introduces you to and shows development of drawing and painting skills through a variety of creative media and techniques with a gradual progression towards individual ways of working. You will have the opportunity to work on a large scale £ An externally set exam. From a wide range of starting points set by the awarding body you prepare your work and then resolve your ideas in an eight hour supervised exam A2 Level £ Second year of course. A greater depth of study building on the AS experience: £ A personal investigation developing a theme or idea of your choice. This is supported by 1,000 £ 3,000 words which can be presented in a variety of ways £ An externally set exam with a selection of written words or images as starting points. This includes preparation time and a 15 hour supervised exam You will need an open minded enthusiastic approach to wide ranging ways of learning. You will also need to work independently in your own time to develop and refine your work to the best of your ability.
