You will study language in depth and be able to write a creative, descriptive personal piece analysing techniques for both written and spoken language including media texts and public speaking. This is a course valued by many employers £ a grade C or above would indicate an ability to undertake research and communicate effectively £ you will be expected to carry out independent research into a chosen coursework topic and undertake oral presentations, both individually and as part of a group. To reach your full potential over one year, commitment to the course is essential, and it is expected you would have an interest in literature and language and know the basics of language, its use and structures. There are trips to see comedians, films, plays, and the Imperial War Museum.
