To equip students with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills necessary to effectively manage a wide range of game species and their associated habitats. Approximately half the training is delivered in practical situations. In addition, blocks of work experience strengthen the practical skills and experience demanded by the industry. The course consists of a Subsidiary Diploma (6 units) followed by either a Diploma (further 6 units) or the Extended Diploma (total of 18 units) that cover a wide range of knowledge and skills needed for a career in game and wildlife management.
