This Level 3 course provides practically based management training for those wishing to further enhance their existing knowledge and skills. The course prepares for responsibility in technical and managerial areas of the animal care management and science industry, or to continue to higher education. The course relates to careers with domestic pets, wildlife, exotic, zoo and farm animalsand covers a wide range of topics: £Animal health and welfare £Animal handling and management £Animal nutrition £Animal feeding and accommodation £Animal biology £Animal behaviour £Exotic animal management £Animal welfare and breed development £Animal breeding and genetics £Farm livestock management £Work related experience in the animal management sector The course includes one block of two weeks of external work placement. Your course may also include additional skills and qualifications, including maths, communication and ICT.
