The course offers opportunities in lighting, sound, props, set and back stage operations required for performance and students have access to our fully rigged, 100 seat, studio theatre. Success on this course relies on commitment and communication. Responsibilities will include attending production meetings and meeting deadlines. You may be required to liaise with companies for sponsorship or funding, booking venues and equipment. You will be required to publicise shows and create budgets. This is a £hands on£ course which encourages good timekeeping, communication and effective problem solving. This is a very practical course which allows realistic experience of working in a range of production scenarios; from our in-house theatre to professional theatre spaces and Theatre in Education touring productions. Study trips include backstage tours at large scale London theatres such as The National Theatre and performances of high end professional shows.
