The Access to Higher Education Diploma (Science Pathway) is a one-year fast-track course for anyone who has left school without the right qualifications to apply to university. The course will equip you with the tools you need to study at degree level. Assessment will mainly take place through coursework assignments, including practical laboratory work, written reports, presentations, essays, short tests and independent project work. Achievement is recognised through the award of credits, a minimum number of which must be achieved at both levels 2 and 3. For each unit successfully completed you will earn credits that gradually build towards the 60 credits that are required for the Access to Higher Education Diploma.
