This study programme for 16-18 year olds covers all the main design areas, from computer graphics to product design. Design is a broad term, and designers can work in a range of industries including fashion, furniture, manufacturing and media. While each industry requires specific skills, all designers work to come up with a concept that both serves a purpose and looks good. This study programme will enable you to work towards a career in Graphic Design which will enable you to gain a role within a Graphic Designers, Marketing Department, Estate Agent, Magazine or Newspaper. Learners must be 16-18 and will attend college two days a week for 9 months. You will complete your course using: InDesign Photoshop Illustrator Dreamweaver If you have not already achieved a GCSE Grade C in either/both English and maths your study programme will include: For those with Grade D GCSE English and/or Maths For those with E and below Functional Skills in English and/or Maths At the end of the course the learners will receive an BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Graphic Design certificate from Pearson and will have the opportunity to progress to a Level 3 Certificate in Graphic Design or Apprenticeship.
