What does it mean to be a human being? What makes us unique? How are we all similar? What differences are there between groups of people? The answers lie in the study of anthropology. Anthropology is the study of people their evolutionary history, how they behave and adapt to different environments, as well as the ways in which they communicate and socialise. It is concerned both with the biological features that make us human and with social aspects. You will develop transferable skills like team-working; verbal communication skills; showing initiative; adapting to different social situations; gathering, processing and analysing data, essay writing and presentation techniques. Anthropology is an academic subject which can lead to a wide variety of career paths and combines well with other subjects such as, Sociology, Psychology, Biology and English Language.
