The course covers a wide range of subjects including: Working safely in an engineering environment Working efficiently and effectively in engineering Using and communicating technical information Preparing and using lathes for turning operations Preparing and using milling machines Producing mechanical engineering drawings using a CAD system During the course learners will do a series of practical based activities and create a portfolio of evidence, they will be observed and assessed throughout the year.
