This qualification meets the needs of learners who work with children in a wide range of settings, for example in the roles of: Early Years Educator, Child-minder, Nursery Nurse Learners will learn, develop and practice the skills required for career progression in the Early years Sector. Entry requirements You will ne3ed to be employed and working in a Childcare Setting. You will also need to have achieved GCSE Grade A*-C in both English/English Language and Maths Assessment To achieve the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator), learners must achieve 64 credits from the mandatory units.. The focus is on applied theory in practice, on evidence-based practice, with assessor observation a strong theme. Learner reflection is actively promoted & the Skills for Care and Development assessment principles for the Children and Young People’s Workforce been incorporated into the new qualification to maintain focus on occupational competence. These programmes are assessed through a combination of observation, case studies, assignments and a 'Portfolio of Evidence' to be submitted for assessment at the completion of the programme. Apprenticeship Framework Content This framework is made up of the following elements: Level 3 Early Years Educator Employer Rights and Responsibilities FS ICT Personal Learning & Thinking Skills What can I do after the course? Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to progress their careers in the sector as Early Years Educators, L5 Diploma in Leadership in a Childcare Setting, or access Higher Education (UCAS points will be applied for).
