Government and Politics AS/A2

You should consider studying Government and Politics if you have an interest in current affairs and politics. Politics is about how we deal with disagreements about big decisions that affect society, such as who should pay for universities, or whether we the UK should remain part of the EU. You are not expected to have any prior knowledge of politics before starting the course. However, AS Politics is a dynamic subject and you should expect to follow the news on a daily basis and be involved in lively classroom discussions. The course gives you a good grounding in how politics operates in the United Kingdom and its system of government.

Name: Government and Politics AS/A2 Qualification title: GCE AS Level in Government and Politics Qualification type: Assessment You will sit two exams in May/June, one for each of the AS units.
