The aim of this qualification is to allow candidates to develop a broad understanding of how they can operate and influence the functions and resources of a retail outlet. The syllabus covers how to maximise sales, staff performance, how to ensure the safety and security of staff, customers and goods. In addition candidates will be encouraged to develop a clear understanding of customer service to the retail industry and ways in which they can lead contributions to the improvement of this service and increase business profitability and competitiveness.
