This course will teach individuals how to analyse the requirements for volunteer work, match resources to planned activity, effectively communicate with a team of volunteers, evaluate volunteer work and give feedback to encourage individual development. It will also help you to keep you up to date with new ideas, new technology and new legislation. The course takes 12 months to complete and covers: - Introduction to managing volunteers - Supervising and supporting volunteers - Setting objectives and providing support for team members - Encouraging and motivating volunteers - Managing risk in relation to volunteers - Managing volunteer agreements - Understanding effective partnership work between organisations - Promoting volunteering within your organisation and to volunteers - Managing and developing relationships in the workplace - Negotiating and influencing - Introduction to campaigning - Introduction to volunteering - Understanding values, ethics and safeguarding in the voluntary sector - Managing your own professional development within an organisation.
