This qualification forms part of a number of Health and Social Care Diplomas which assess a learner’s competence within a work situation. There are two pathways available at Level 3: • Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) • Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) The qualification is relevant to job roles such as: • Senior staff in residential, domiciliary and day service settings • Senior healthcare assistants/support workers in community and primary care environments • Senior support workers in supported living projects • Community-based senior care assistants/support workers/key workers, including those working in specialist areas eg dementia, learning disabilities • Personal assistants employed directly by the individual they support or their families
