Building on the skills developed through the foundation degree, the one year top-up programme encourages students to develop management skills through the study of ecology, conservation and countryside policy. You will gain an understanding of policy and planning issues and benefit from real-life practical experiences through visiting a range of nature reserves, areas of outstanding beauty and specialist conservation sites. Utilising a variety of different resources - including geographical information systems - by the end of the degree you will be confident in problem solving and possess the necessary technical expertise for a successful career.
