Performing Musician Diploma Level 2

This is a course for those wishing to gain experience of band performance and develop their instrumental skills. It is a practical course with an emphasis on live performance through instrumental lessons, band rehearsals, recording projects and gigs. A wide range of musical styles are covered including rock, indie, metal, acoustic and singer songwriter. All course tutors and instrumental teachers are experienced professional musicians with touring and studio experience. The facilities include fully equipped band rooms, digital recording studios, music production suites and a professional performance venue. This is predominantly a practical course with most work being completed in sessions. However, research and a strict practice routine is vital in order to succeed on the course. In addition to your main programme, you will study English and maths. Depending on your grades on entry, you will study either Functional Skills or GCSEs English and maths (one per year). You will also take the Silver Arts Award as part of your programme.
