Rockschool Music Practitioners (Performing Musician) Subsidiary Diploma Level 1

UPDATED 20150520 06:27:00

This is a course for those wishing to gain experience of band performance and develop their instrumental or vocal skills. It offers students an entry-level introduction into the world of a working musician. This is predominantly a practical course with most work being completed in sessions, however, individual research and instrumental practice are vital in order to succeed on the course. Assessments of academic work will be supported through use of ICT sessions, written work, group discussion and video evidence of student understanding and achievement. The final project will be to organise, promote and perform a gig at a local venue with the support of dedicated staff. In addition, you will study at least one Functional Skill in English, maths or ICT as part of your main programme.
