You will work through the mandatory unit, which could typically be word processing and file management. You then have a choice of which units you will complete. Each unit is valued in credits and you must achieve 13 credits to pass the qualification. You will do further units, which could include include spreadsheets (MS Excel), presentations(MS Powerpoint), databases (MS Access), the internet and email and using Microsoft Publisher. The classes are part tutor led, in addition to students working independently on their units.
