This course provides a broad introduction to art and desgin, preparing for Higher Education courses. It offers a friendly and supportive environment in which to develop your abilities, appraise your strengths and develop your concepts and skills. We will also enable you to define and make decisions about your future career aspirations. The course is enriched with a variety of visits, typically indluding 3 day trips, a 5-day residential in a European city, and a comprehensive liberal studies programme with visiting speakers from a wide range of professional backgrounds along with opportunities to be involved in live briefs. This will ensure you become aware of the demands of art and design and recognise the common principles and distinctive characteristics of subject disciplines, allowing you to make informed career/UCAS choices.
