This programme combines academic knowledge and practical skills so it is ideal for those interested in a career working with children. It is expected that most people will to be able to work as an early-years practitioner. On successful completion of the course you could go straight into employment within one of many childcare settings. This qualification prepares you to work unsupervised, or in a supervisory capacity, with children and their families in a variety of settings and environments. You can go into employment and work as an early-years practitioner, nanny, crèche leader, nursery supervisor or teaching assistant. As Extended Diplomas are equivalent to three A levels you could go into higher education on courses such as teacher training or a Foundation Degree in Early Years. Units you will study include: ?
