You will learn how to plan and monitor animal feeding and how to maintain animal health, welfare and accommodation. There are also introductions to behaviour, handling, breeding and grooming and understanding the principles of animal biology. There are lectures, talks from guest speakers, visits, practical sessions in the animal unit and work experience. There are two pathway options available at the York and Guisborough Centres (York - Companion or Zoo pathways) / Guisborough - Canine or Science pathways).
