This qualification is for those aspiring to want to work as part of a schools work force or whom are current members and are involved directly in the support of teaching and learning with pupils. For the candidate to be successful on this course they must be able to either gain a placement or be in employment in a school environment. Candidates should be looking to around 60 hours as a minimum (more preferably) to ensure that they develop and evidence sufficiently their skills in the workplace. The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is a competence-based qualification and has been accredited as part of the Qualifications and Curriculum Framework (QCF). This course will give you the skills and knowledge specifically for working within the school sector. You will study units including - Understanding how to safeguard the well-being of children and young people - Promote children and young people's positive behaviour - Promote equality, diversity and inclusion - Develop professional relationships with children, young people and adults
