This qualification is for anyone working in a support role within the care sector such as, laundry assistant, kitchen assistant, gardener/ handyman or domestic. It will help develop knowledge and skills for those who work in this particular support role within the social care sector. You need to be at least 16 years of age and have the ability to generate competence, knowledge and skills within this sector. The qualification is made up of 5 mandatory units, generating 14 credits with a further 12 credits needed from the optional units, some of which are specialised units relating to specific job roles an responsibilities.
