What does AS Physical Education course involve? Throughout your course, your practical skills and ability to analyse performance in your chosen activity will be developed and assessed. The majority of your marks will come from the theory element of the course. As the syllabus for the 2016 A Level PE qualification is yet to be released, we cannot outline the units to be studied. We do know, however, that they will involve exploring physiological, psychological and sociocultural factors affecting participation and performance in sport and physical activity. The majority of your lessons are theory lessons, preparing you for your examination. Practical lessons and training sessions will also be delivered to support you with your practical assessments. These include football, netball, badminton, basketball and circuit training sessions.
