You will cover 6 units at level 1. The Diploma Level 1 year introduces you to the construction trade and gives you practical knowledge of basic carpentry and joinery skills including mortice and tenon joints and dovetail joints and using hand tools. You will study health and safety rules and industry regulations. On successful completion of Diploma Level 1 you may progress on to the Diploma Level 2 which consists of 8 units. you will practise many aspects of carpentry and joinery that will prepare you for work in the carpentry and joinery trade. including hanging doors. pitched roofs and using routers. planes and jigsaws. At diploma level 3 you will complete a further 8 units and experience the more complex processes within carpentry and joinery trade area.
