Photography – Making The Most of Your Digital Camera How will this course help me? You will develop practical skills when using a digital camera. Learn how to capture images using your own camera. Who is the course for? Beginners - for learners who have no knowledge or have just bought a new camera. What can I expect to learn? Guidance given on the basics use and settings of digital cameras. Quality settings, flash, white balance and ISO settings. Control of flash, depth of field, aperture and shutter priority Taking pictures using your own camera. How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Bring your own digital camera and its manual thus enabling you to learn how to get more from it. Bring along a pen and notepad – should you wish to make any notes. Will there be any other costs? (e.g. materials, books, registration with a professional body, etc.) You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. All of the costs of this course are covered in the advertised course fee. What can I do next? A variety of Arts and Crafts courses are available.
