Creative Design from Sketchbooks How will this course help me? You will develop skills and confidence in design and techniques in creating sketchbooks. Who is the course for? This course if for beginners or if you have some experience in exploring experimental design ideas. What can I expect to Learn? Develop design work in sketchbooks Using a variety of papers (including recycled), art materials, surface textures and pattern techniques to create personal inventive designs Researching design source material/ideas Health & Safety How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Basic course materials are available at the centre for the first session if required. Your tutor will advise on any future purchases related to the course. Please bring an A4 sketchbook and pencil. Will there be any other costs? You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. Your tutor will discuss any additional materials you made to discuss What can I do next?
