Asian Cooking How will this course help me? You will gain confidence and the knowledge to produce a variety of dishes for family, friends and entertaining. Who is the course for? This course is for food lovers of Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Indonesian Cuisine and is suitable for both mild and hot and spicy taste buds! What can I expect to Learn? A step by step guide to making a variety of main courses and snack items, using different techniques. Be able to use fresh ingredients and spices and adjust quantities to personal taste. Be able to compare the taste and appearance of homemade dishes to shop bought. Labour saving hints and tips. How will I learn? There will be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace in a relaxed and supportive environment. There are no exams or formal assessments.If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. You will also be able to taste and take home your creations. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? Ingredients will be provided for the first session then a list of ingredients will be given to each learner so that they will be able to purchase items required for the following week’s dishes. What will I need to provide? Bring suitable containers to take the dishes home in. Please let us know if you have any food allergies, intolerances or special dietary needs prior to the start of the course. Will there be any other costs? (e.g. materials, books, registration with a professional body, etc.) Ingredients will be supplied for the first session and then you will be provided with an ingredients list for the following week’s dishes. All of the costs of this course are covered in the advertised course fee.
