iTQ Workshop How will this course help me? Will help with both personal and professional development, giving learners a basic range of transferable ICT skills. Who is the course for? Learners everywhere, whether in employment, education or training, who have a basic knowledge of computers and wish to develop their skills. For anyone who wishes to have these skills recognised through accreditation at Level 1 or Level 2. What can I expect to learn? Depending on whether you chose to study OCR iTQ or the ECDL iTQ the units to complete vary. Both the iTQ and ECDL include Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations and Improving Productivity. Other topics for iTQ include Databases, Publication software, Digital Imaging software, Website Creation and Internet/Email. You chose a number of topics based on the credits for the qualification chosen. How will I learn? Supported by a tutor who will give help, advice and guidance to each individual learner working to their own learning plan. Learning takes place in a small workshop style environment using appropriate manuals/resources before completing practice papers, then the live assessment. How will I know how well I am doing? Personal learning plans showing short and long term goals will be created and these will be reviewed with your tutor throughout the course. You will work through manuals and have assessments at critical points. You will be awarded credits as modules are completed and will gain the full qualification when you have achieved enough credits to gain the full qualification. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? All the skills developed in the session will benefit from being practised at home or work. Will there be any other costs? You can purchase a copy of the course book you are working on (currently £4) together with a memory stick this will enable you to work at home.
