Healthy Eating and Cookery Suitable for Anyone who wishes to increase their knowledge of healthy eating. About the course To encourage healthier eating within the home. To look at healthier ways to prepare everyday foods. To explore a greater range of foods. To develop safe and healthy food preparation methods. Practical cookery sessions. Food groups and basic nutrition. Different methods of cookery and preparation. The first session The first session will be for enrolment and induction to the course: Practical session. Assessment. Health and Safety issues. After the course Learners may wish to take part in other cookery classes or progress towards a level 1 qualification. They may also be interested in other health related courses e.g. fitness, yoga, coping with stress.
