Singing for Pleasure How will this course help me? This course will help to develop your confidence in singing and also your ability to perform as part of a group. You will also develop and increase your knowledge and understanding of vocal techniques through a wide variety of music choices. Who is the course for? Beginners to the subject and those with some experience. What can I expect to learn? Vocal/warm-up exercises (Health and safety) Learning new songs Revising songs learnt Singing in unison and/or harmony. Health and safety in this subject area How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. Your tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Words/music to be covered throughout the course will be provided by the tutor Will there be any other costs? You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. All of the costs of this course are covered in the advertised course fee. What can I do next? A variety of Get Creative courses are available.
